Why Don't You Give Tips or Tutorials for Watercolor?
I don’t currently offer any tips, techniques or tutorials for watercolor because I am learning from a wonderful artist with 40 years experience.  Paul Hopkinson offers lessons via YouTube and Patreon and I would much rather refer you to him.

You can find him at:

Artist Questions

How long have you been an artist?

I’m a life-long artist.   In my early thirties I discovered digital art and website design.  It opened a new world for me.  In 2016 I once again picked up a graphite pencil after years of digital work, and I haven’t looked back since.  You can learn more about me on my Artist Bio page.

Why do you only do wildlife work?

Every artist has a special area of interest that they enjoy working in.  For me it’s wildlife.  I enjoy every aspect of working primarily in wildlife portraits, it makes my heart happy.

Do you do pet portraits/commissions?

Not actively at this time.

I am willing to discuss pet portraits on a case by case basis, but do not intend on soley doing pet portraits.

Wildlife commissions are available.  See my shop for further details.

Why do you donate to wildlife?

It is important for me to be able to give back.  Early on, when I began this adventure as a professional artist I knew this would give me the ability to help with wildlife conservation.  I currently support three important places:

  • Raptor Conservation Alliance
  • Fontenelle Forest Raptor Program
  • Nebraska Wildlife Rehab

These three wonderful places care for our state’s local wildlife that are displaced or injured.  The end goal being to return them to the wild when possible.  Each species holds a special place in our echosystem and it’s important to care for them.

Bottom line, I want to help make a difference.

Will you do a human portrait or Fan Art?

No.

I specialize in wildlife and prefer not to work on human portraits.

I do not take commissions for any sort of fan art.  There are too many copyright legalities involved.

Purchase Questions

How do I care for my artwork or print?

Each finished artwork comes with a care sheet which will explain the best ways to protect your new piece of art.

Why do you require a non-refundable down payment?

Commissions require a lot of time, energy and resources.  I have seen many artists work diligently on commissions only to have the client change their mind at the last minute and refuse to pay.  A non-refundable deposit allows me to purchase any needed materials for the commission.  It also helps to recoup the cost of materials along with the time investment if the client changes their mind.

Do you have a money back guarantee?

Yes and no.

The non-refundable deposit is just that, non-refundable.

If however, you are unhappy with the finished commission you will not be required to pay the final balance due.  You also will not take possession of the finished artwork.
